Dr. Michael L. Baltimore

Michael Baltimore earned his Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Auburn University. He is the program coordinator of the Community Counseling program and coordinator of the US Army Chaplain Training Program at CSU. He is Founding Co-Editor of the Journal of Technology in Counseling published in the Department. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He maintains a practice for clinical supervision in Columbus.
Dr. Baltimore has authored numerous articles and given presentations involving the use and innovation of technology in the helping professions. He is the co-author of "Clinical Supervisor Training: An Interactive CD-ROM Training Program for the Helping Professions" (Allyn & Bacon). Dr. Baltimore provides workshops for faculty and counselor training programs on the use of technology in counselor education. He is a member of the ACES Technology Interest group and has presented at ACES, SACES and ACA Learning Institutes with ACESTIN on cutting edge technology advances for counselors and counselor educators. He founded the multimedia production lab, Studio212 (http://studio212.colstate.edu/ for faculty development, teaching and learning supplements and distance learning. Dr. Baltimore has created CD-ROMs and DVDs for use in counselor training, supervision and counseling theory. He maintains the Department websites and websites for professional counseling. His research interests include: technology in counseling, counselor training, marriage & family therapy/training, and ethics in supervision. Dr. Baltimore created the first online video-based counseling course for undergraduates in the department.
