Brief Bio: Mrs. Sandy Little is an Assitant Professor of Early Childhood Education at Columbus State University. She received her B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University, M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Auburn Univerisy, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University. Mrs. Little has 13 years teaching experience in a variety of school settings including metropolitan communities as well as rural communities.

Mrs. Little received National Board Certification in 2005. Mrs. Little was awarded the Outstanding New Teacher award during her first year of teaching and FACES Teacher of the Year award in 2002.
Mrs. Little provided professional development to the teachers within her school. She additionally served as a memeber of the curriculum writing committee and the professional development committee for TEAM Math, an organization that provides professional development in matematics education to teachers in East Alabama. Mrs Little has presented at multiple confernces nationally. She also has conducted presentations and professional develop internationally. She participated in a collaborative effort to develop a curriculum for preschool children in China and traveled to Beijing, China to conduct professional development for the teachers.

Mrs. Little is an active memeber in the National Association for Early Childhood Education as well as the National Association for Early Childhood Teacher Educators.
