Dr. Michael Mangum (Ph.D., Exercise Science) has earned degrees from Florida State University (Ph.D., B.S.) and Wake Forest University (M.A.). He taught for four years at FSU as a doctoral fellow/adjunct instructor and for six years at Louisiana State University as an assistant professor prior to his arrival at CSU. His academic interests are many and include whole body and muscle metabolism, cardio-respiratory physiology, and the application of exercise physiology to health and sport. He is currently the acting head of the Department of Physical Education and Exercise Science which is housed in the Lumpkin Center.
