Dr. Gary ShouppeAssociate Professor,
Education: Columbus College (B.S., M.Ed., Ed.S.), Valdosta State University (Ph.D.) Specialty Areas: Educational Leadership Dr. Gary A. Shouppe has worked 20 years as public school administrator and 10 years as classroom teacher. He obtained his doctorate from Valdosta State University in 2005 and undergraduate/graduate work from Columbus College 1979 and 1991. Originally from Mobile, AL, his family moved in 1963 to Columbus/Ft. Benning by way of his father's Civil Service career. He recently retired from public education and took up a 2nd career as college professor. Currently Dr. Shouppe's interests include designing online MEdLead courses, investigating current state educational reform efforts and overcoming his "digital immigrant" accent. He is married with two daughters and two grandsons. He is currently teaching in the College of Education's Counseling, Foundations, and Leadership (CFL) Department at CSU.
